North Carolina’s Spencer “The King” Fisher, fighting out of Bettendorf, Iowa, finds himself with his back against the wall. The Brevard native began his MMA career some 10 years ago and had never lost back to back fights until this past June. Even though he recently signed a four fight deal with the UFC, he knows the sport is being flooded by talented young athletes. And if you don’t keep winning, you’ll be on the outside of the octagon looking in. “The King” will fight next at UFC 120, Oct.16th 2010 from London, England. The event will be televised on SpikeTV via tape delay. His opponent is a very talented fighter from Liverpool, England named Kurt Warburton. Warburton, fighting out of the Wolfslair MMA Academy, comes into the fight with a 6-1 MMA record with his one loss by submission. This is a really big fight for Fisher. A win could keep him in the mix with the best….a loss (third in a row) could make the climb back up very difficult for sure.
Fisher’s powerful stand up has taken him this far… let’s see if “The King” can do it again.
