Some might wonder, “what’s so great about Metal?” Well, for those pussified no talents out there who can barely conceive of a pubic hair, let alone grow a pair. Metal is about inner turmoil, aggression, rage, or just over all having a giant wang and screaming about it. As for you North Carolina folk, there is only one band thus far that fits all the above aforementioned Metal requirements, that is As Sick As Us. I could talk about Zack being this tiny dynamite stick but let’s venture into what we are really here for.
Zane Oskins.
Take Chris Adler of Lamb of God, and Paul M. of Cannibal Corpse, mix them together for 8 years, then add just a dash of Jekyll and Hyde’s maniacal need to mangle, and stir for another ten years and you have Zane. Let me tell you folks, I opened for Chris Adler, I have opened for Joe Nunez of Solefly, but this kid I would dread opening for. He looks young and innocent enough, but put him behind his trusty Phattie Custom Drums, 5 piece hybrid with the clear acrylic center, and you have one explosive evening with Metal.
I was there at the Diamond Thieves Psycho Santa Christmas Party, when this kid got behind his kit and rocked me all the way to the gates of hell itself. My eardrums and teeth are still amidst that of many on the floor of the Garage at Biltmore. With influences such as: The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, The Acacia Strain, Pantera, Sabbath, Pink Floyd to name a few. When asked about what he likes to hear before and after a show his reply was thus, “Metal. Always, shit gets me pumped either way.” So when you hear of physicians studying the texts of other doctors, and you hear your local tattoo artists and piercers talking about doing research on the new methods of after care and or procedure, you know that the measly cover charge that you pay to hear this band is just further funding his education on what he does for a profession. Now if I have done my job right and well to the justice that is As Sick As Us and my favorite Metal Drummer Zane Oskins then you will take your silly ass on to another tab and locate their shows, and friend the hell out of them, I know I have. They can be found on these following sites:

Now go and be well, and remember even the greatest of Metal heads started with the influence of others. I still need a new drummer to check out, so if you want my skills to be put to promoting you and your ego, then hit me up. I am not a critic but a man that wants to give you what you worked for, a helping hand.
This is Metal Sam, punch the person next to you, and say it’s from me!
