Ok folks… in case you haven’t been paying attention. North Carolina native, Eric Church is freaking killin’ it… Let me clarify, “It” being the world of country music. His most recent album, Chief, debuted at number one on the billboard charts. Chief, follows the 2009 release Carolina (which debuted at number four on the charts). So, as you can see… Mr Church has been on a roll for a while.
Growing up in Granite Falls, graduating from Appalachian State University, and kicking around the Ol’ North State playing music… Church is as much “Carolina” as BBQ and basketball. In addition to the albums Chief, and Carolina, Church also released the album Sinners Like Me in 2006, and the EP Caldwell County in January of this year. Oh man, 2011 has been good to Eric… He won the Academy of Country Music’s Award for Top New Solo Vocalist. And was nominated for Top New Artist. So, now you see why I say… Eric Church is Freaking Killin’ It! He has come out swinging, and is hitting them outta the park like Mark McGuire on steroids.
