Video Vault … The Merry Frolics of Satan

In this Video Vault project I wanted to find a good song or beat to go with this silent movie classic… The Merry Frolics of Satan by George Melies from 1906. One really neat fact about the movie… the film is hand painted each frame at a time (just think about how advanced this film was for the time). The song I ended up choosing was… Cake’s “The Distance”. Probably one of the best songs from the 1990′s… I did a little bit of editing, but not too much. Tweaked a little bit of the last half to sync up with the music. I think it worked pretty well… I love the look and feel of Melies films (maybe you can tell).
